Our story

We didn't start with a tour company.We started with a race.

For nine years we ran H.E.C.S., the hard enduro race in Sibiu. Every autumn, riders from Germany, Norway, wherever, would pull off their helmets at the finish and ask us the same thing: how do I come back and ride more of this? Honestly, it took us a while to get it. We grew up here. These were just the trails behind our houses, shepherd paths we'd been racing since before anyone wore body armour. It never occurred to us that people would cross a continent for them. EnduRomaniaTours is us finally answering that question properly. The real Transylvania ridden the way we've always ridden it. Not the brochure version.

Paul Fratila
Founder & Lead Guide
With over ten years in enduro, Paul started EnduRomania Tours to share his knowledge and passion with others. He competed for years in enduro, endurocross, and motocross (several times national champion and vice-champion), with good results at Red Bull Romaniacs, Sea to Sky, and Erzberg Rodeo, and spent nine years organizing H.E.C.S., the hard enduro race in Sibiu. The years spent as a guide taught him to lead, teach, and communicate on the trail. Choose him if your standards run high. Once you get to know Paul, you'll want to meet him again… and again.
Rares Jold
Associate
Rares has been in the enduro trade for 20 years. He started as a guide for a short stretch, then managed tour operations at an Austrian enduro company. Mountain trips, bicycles, and of course enduro bikes are what he cares about. He has been an associate at EnduRomaniaTours for four years.
Cezara Fratila
Administration
Cezara runs the administration behind EnduRomania Tours: bookings, scheduling, and guest coordination, so every rider arrives ready and every tour starts on time.
Rares
Guide
Rares comes from enduro and bicycle tricks. He has ridden hard enduro competitions, and he knows the trails at both ends of the scale: the steep hard-enduro lines and the softer ones. On tour he is one of our guides.
Bogdan
Guide
Bogdan is at home outdoors. He practices speleology, he travels with a caravan, and he likes the kind of nature day that leaves room to look around. On tour he is one of our guides.
Florin
Mechanic
Florin comes from downhill: steep tracks, a bicycle, no engine. He is just as happy on an enduro motorcycle, out in nature for the kind of day that is more forest than tarmac. Off the trail, he is one of the mechanics looking after the bikes you ride here.
Alex
Mechanic
Alex comes from mechanics: engines, tools, why a bike actually runs. Off the trail he rides street motorcycles, tarmac instead of forest. In the shop he is one of the mechanics looking after the bikes you ride here.
